South Toms River Molotov Cocktail Attack Accomplice Tracked Down: Authorities
A second New York man has been charged in a Molotov cocktail attack in New Jersey, authorities announced Monday, Sept. 28.
Tahkem Boynton, 28, of Fresh Meadows, Queens, was identified by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office.
Boynton and Tashaun Normand, 42, of the Bronx, teamed up for the attack in South Toms River back on March 23, investigators said. Normand was arrested days later in Tennessee and extradited back to New Jersey in July, according to authorities.

More Than 6,000 LI Customers Still Stuck Without Power Following Weekend Storm
More than 6,000 customers remained without power on Long Island on Monday morning, Sept. 28 following the weekend’s nor’easter.
Most of the outages are in Suffolk County, according to Long Island utility provider PSEG.
Throughout the storm, more than 124,000 outages were reported across the island, and 95% were fixed by 8 a.m. Monday, PSEG said.
The “vast majority” of customers currently without power should have it restored by the end of Monday, PSEG claimed. Workers were putting in 16-hour shifts to respond to all the issues, the company said.

A New York man was busted driving through the Hudson Valley with seven kilograms of cocaine, police announced Friday, Sept. 25.
Jesus A. Camacho, 36, of Columbia, was pulled over just before 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 on the New York State Thruway in Rosendale, New York State Police said.
Camacho was traveling northbound in a 2017 Nissan when he was stopped, authorities said. He was the only person in the car, according to officials.

A drugged driving bust has ended in prison time for a New York man, authorities said.
James H. Maloy, 62, of Waterford, was sentenced Friday, Sept. 25 to between one and three years in state prison, the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s office said.
Maloy was pulled over for a traffic stop Sept. 15, 2025, on County Route 7 in Schodack, authorities said.
Investigators at the scene noticed Maloy’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy with constricted pupils, prosecutors said. His blood later tested positive for THC and hydrocodone, according to the DA’s office.

A Long Island high school custodian admitted to filming himself sexually abusing a child and sharing it online, authorities said.
Brian Woehr, 41, of Lindenhurst, cut a plea deal Friday, Sept. 25 in which he admitted to two counts in exchange for a 17-year prison sentence, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
Woehr, a father of two young girls, was previously employed as a custodian in the Lindenhurst school district, authorities said. Following his arrest, the district said Woehr was a custodian part-time from 2018 to 2021 and was dismissed for unrelated reasons.

A Long Island scammer was caught on an ATM camera stealing $4,200, but police are still searching for him.
The scheme started Wednesday, Aug. 19, when a 79-year-old woman was contacted by someone claiming to be from TD Bank, the Suffolk County Police Department said Friday, Sept. 25.
