Two Face Charges After Stops At Stamford Sobriety Checkpoint Two local men are facing charges after police conducted a sobriety checkpoint in Stamford late Friday night into early Saturday morning.The checkpoint was at 626 Glenbrook Road and began around 11:30 p.m. and lasted more than an hour. Charged were: Mamuka Simonishvilli, 52, of Bedford Street, Stamford, operating under the influence and possession of marijuana. William Potolicchio, 64, of Hubbard Avenue, Stamford, operating under the influence and possession of marijuana. The detail was made possible through a grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

John O'Donnell Underwood, 22, of Wilton, was taken into custody around 2:18 p.m. Saturday, after Wilton police responded to a report of a rollover crash on Grumman Hill Road, said Lt. Shelton Man Nabbed For DWI On Sherwood Island Connector A drunken driving arrest was made early Sunday morning on the Sherwood Island Connector, Westport police said. At about 2 a.m. on Feb. 4, police officers were dispatched on a report of a vehicle operating erratically and crossing multiple lanes of travel.  The vehicle was observed traveling westbound on Greens Farms Road. It traveled through the intersection with Hillspoint Road without stopping for the stop sign.  A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the operator was identified as Luca Dore, 44, of Shelton, CT, according to police reports.
